A novel method for analyzing forest fragmentation in urbanizing communities
Conference Proceedings (Chapter)
This paper proposes a new and viable technique for analyzing forest fragmentation based on the percolation theory. A simulation model based on the percolation theory generated landscape scenarios representing varying degrees of non-vegetated urban perturbations using a portion of the East Baton Rouge urban forest as the landscape base.
