"This [ordinance] appl[ies] to property or portions thereof located within the unincorporated areas of Dawson County." [Intent]

"The purpose of this [ordinance] is to preserve and enhance Dawson County's natural environment. ...through the preservation, protection and planting of trees and other landscape material, particularly those trees recognized herein as canopy and understory trees and the provisions for natural and/or planted buffers between dissimilar uses of land." [Purpose]
