White Pine Weevil
This beetle attacks various species of conifers which causes devastating dieback and deformation of these Connecticut trees.
Thisfact sheet discusses the life cycle and characteristics of the weevil as wellas symptoms visible on the tree. Theonly control method described here is to cut and burn the infected branchesbetween infection date and July 15th.
