Risk Tree Assessement of Certain Mature Trees in the Historic Distric in Annapolis, MD
In March and April of 2003, Maryland Department of Natural Resources Forest Service assessed a number of trees in the HIstoric Distric in Annapolis, MD for risk failure. Various high-tech tools were used, including handheld GIS units and decay detection equipment that provides digital data useful in assessing wood strength in trees. The purposes of this report is to: perform arboricultural tree risk assessments of certain trees in the Historic Distric in Annapolis, MD; and to provide detailed information for the parties (Maryland Department of Natural Resources [MD DNR], and the City of Annapolis [the City] to use in communicating with partners and constituents regarding management decisions related to the tree.
