Rapid Tree Damage Assessment and FEMA Experiences Following Hurricane Katrina
This poster summarizes the Gulf Coast Tree Assessment project partnership that assisted 10 communities in the Gulf Coast region following Hurricane Katrina. The focus of this presentation was: Biloxi (MS), St. Tammany Parish (LA), Kenner (LA), and Waveland (Hancock County, MS).The poster provides assessment timelines and an estimate of the value of the vounteers services provided and the FEMA funding that resulted.A small format PDF of a larger poster presented to the Southern Research Station All Scientists Meeting in Lake Lanier, Georgia. January 2007.
