Classroomactivities help youth learn vocabulary necessary to discuss ecosystems. Theseactivities require minimal supplies and focus on keeping the attention ofyounger children. The outdoor activities help youth learn about tree morphologyand the role trees play in the landscape. Many of the handouts are specific to New Haven, Connecticut, where theproject was created.  However, thestructure of the handouts can be used as a backbone in other communities.
