Old Cities - Green Cities
This book addresses the enormity of the urban vacant land problem and its effect on the quality of life for Philadelphians. The first section reveals the extent,causes,and crippling effects of vacant land on the vitality of America's older cities and the conseqences on our society's use of its resources. The second section presents the story of the PA Horticultural Society's work for 30 years greening the city of Philadelphia.
