Norway Maple

This invasive plant information factsheet describes the origin, habitat, and management of Norway maple in Connecticut.

The Norway maple is a prolific seeder and forms a dense canopy.  These characteristics make urban specimens a threat the species composition of nearby woodlands.  Alternative maples to plant would be red maple, silver maple, and sugar maple.
