New York-New Jersey Highlands Regional Study

Section 1244 of the Food, Agriculture, Conservation, and Trade Act deals with Forest Land Protection and it 's main focus is on the New York-New Jersey Highlands Region. This study was conducted to accomplish 6 main goals. Congress appropiated $250,00 for fiscal year 1991. This sudy was coordinated by the USDA Forest Sevice, Northeastern Area, State and Private Forestry. This resulting report represents a sythesis of the concerns, visions, and goals of the majority of the public participates.
