"Several models have been developed and published for calculating the water requirements of urban trees. To justify the application of these models in practice however, more detailed information is needed on tree transpiration in relation to the development of total leaf area and drought tolerance of amenity trees. This paper highlights some of the gaps in the existing knowledge and presents a short overview of the state of the art in the Netherlands." [Abstract]
